YoMetrics, Month 2
Welcome to Yometrics, Month 2
Month 1 Yometrics focused on building strength, and stretching out those tight muscles. In Month 2, we will still work on building strength, and the yoga aspect will work on “opening up” your body.
Ever notice how older people’s bodies tend to “close in” – shoulders in and stooped, hips dropped? This often happens as a result of poor posture or bad habits. Also, sitting at a desk too much can cause your body to start to close-in on itself.
This month’s work-out is designed to keep that from happening to you!
First, we will work on opening the chest and improving your posture. This alone will make you look taller and thinner. Not to mention, it will help alleviate many shoulder and neck issues.
We will also work on opening up your hips. This is excellent, especially if you sit a lot. It can also help prevent injuries in runners.
ENJOY!
NOTE: This month’s warm-up is excellent for loosening up your neck and shoulders. If you work at a desk much of the day, consider doing the first part of this warm-up once or twice on a daily basis. You’ll be amazed at the results!
Be sure to leave feedback at the bottom of this page, or in the forum. ENJOY!
Month 2 – Beginners YoMetrics
Even though this workout is labeled “Beginners”, it will still give a very challenging workout when done using full flexion the whole 30 seconds. The only reason it is labeled “Beginners” is because the twists are done at a less advanced level.
You're not authorized for Week4 at this time.
Month 2 – Advanced YoMetrics
You're not authorized for Week1 at this time.
Yometrics is the best yoga for weight loss.
SPECIAL NOTE: These exercises will produce well-defined, lean lines. If done consistently… be prepared to get a “yoga butt” … and that is a good thing
*DISCLAIMER:I have disc issues in my upper and lower back, but can still do these with no pain. HOWEVER, I’m not a doctor, so of course, you should check with your own physician before undertaking any exercise program.

I just watched the Month 2-advanced yometrics that you just added. WOW! It’s awesome and I can’t wait until tomorrow night when I actually do it. I decided to watch it first so I could get an idea what it encompassed and listen to your instruction. The previous yometrics are already fantastic but I know this one is going to really, really help me firm and tone.
day 2 this week! complete!
i just did it with goosebumps and chills bc i have the flu. i dont want anything stopping me from my goal!
ok hopefully ill stick to this in 2010!
Each time I repeat a pose, I feel my body stretching a little more and feeling a little stronger. Practice and repetition makes….bettter (I’m still FAR from perfect!).
Wow…challenging! Since I’m one of those who sits hunched over a computer all day and have tension knots throughout my shoulders, I can see how these exercises will really benefit me. The position I had the most trouble with was the one where you stand on one leg and put your foot on your thigh. My foot won’t stay up there! Any tips or suggestions?
