Actually, yometrics is a hybrid exercise. It is yoga that has been combined with isometrics. And, it is ideal to help you lose that fat stomach since it is excellent at strengthening your core muscles.
In yometrics, we do somewhat traditional yoga positions, but we hold them using what we call full ‘flexion’. This means that EVERY muscle is being held completely flexed.
Once into the position, and the muscles are flexed, we then hold the position for a full 30 seconds. By doing this, yometrics gives the flexibility benefits of a traditional yoga for women’s workout, but with the added benefit of resistance training. You are using your own body’s weight to create the resistance.
These exercises are much easier on your joints than flow types of yoga. Plus, it build strength, and helps burn belly fat, much quicker than traditional yoga.
Doing yometrics, you can get a complete yoga workout in just 30-40 minutes. And, since it involves resistance training, it’s only necessary to do the routines every other day. This makes yometrics the perfect form of yoga for busy working women. And, actually, what woman do you know that is not “busy”?
Any woman who is serious about gaining control of her fitness, but who does not have the hours needed to spend time at the gym or going to a more traditional yoga class should give yometrics a serious look. Yometrics is done at home. You can either watch the videos online, streaming from the internet, or you can download the videos and watch from your computer. There is also the option to burn the videos to a dvd if you have a dvd burner on your computer. In the near future, you will also be able to order a commercially prepared DVD.
