Grass Fed Cows…and Charity!

My criteria for a protein powder is very strict:
I searched high and low, reading labels and trying all kinds of different brands. Finally, I’ve found a product that I’m proud to offer my members: This is a high quality protein powder made from unpasteurized milk from grass fed cows! There are 25g of protein per serving. And each container is a full 50 servings! Plus, it is lactose free. Being lactose free means that it won’t create the bloating you get with many protein powders.. PLUS…. LifeSource Nutrition is a charitable company and donates proceeds to Campus Crusade for Christ and The Jesus Film Project! It comes in Double Chocolate Fudge and Creamy French Vanilla. As you can plainly see from the list of ingredients, it does not contain any “junk”:

Benefits of taking Whey Protein: In the April edition of Family Circle there is an interesting study about the benefits of Whey protein for women with High Blood Pressure. They found that by consuming 28 grams (approx one rounded scoop of the LifeSource Whey Protein) per day for six weeks patients showed decreases in both systolic and diastolic numbers. Researcher Susan Fluegel, Ph.D. is quoted as saying “Whey protein improves the health of blood vessels”.
Why do you mean by, “heat kills protein”? Most whey protein comes from milk that has been pasteurized, but what does pasteurization mean and why is it important? Pasteurization (heating the milk at very high temperatures) by definition means the complete destruction of all the enzymes in the milk. Milk is declared pasteurized when you don’t find any enzymes left. But pasteurization not only kills the enzymes which are important complex proteins it also:
So after pasteurization the milk is for all intense purposes not only essentially dead but puts a strain on your body because your pancreas needs to produce lots of digestive enzymes to digest and absorb the dead milk! Understanding how pasteurization affects the quality of the milk is incredibly important because the quality of the Whey protein powder, bars and drinks can only be as good as the milk its coming from. Dead processed milk can only produce dead processed whey protein and that’s not what you want to feed your body if you want to be healthy and excel on the sports field. So the second step in choosing a quality Whey protein product is to make sure the milk used to produce the whey protein has not been pasteurized at high temperatures! You wonder why so many Whey Protein’s on the market are cheap, it is simply because they are processed cheaply and simply don’t work! LifeSource Whey Protein has been designed by and for our Professional, Olympic, Body Builders and Intense athletes around the world and tested on them as well to ensure Bio-Availability, up-loading to the bloodstream, efficient absorption to their muscle fibers and overall results! As we age we lose muscle, but also as we age we tend to eat less protein. So when you find yourself getting above 60 and see that your meat, protein intake is lessening this is a great time to add Whey Protein to your diet. You will be amazed when your body has enough protein just what it can do well into your elderly years. Don’t make the mistake of not feeding your body protein as you age! You can also try our Meal Replacements, they are the exact same protein but with added vitamins & minerals to ensure you are fueling your body’s needs completely! Researcher Susan Fluegel, Ph.D. is quoted as saying “Whey protein improves the health of blood vessels”. Why Whey Isolate? Whey Protein Isolate is one of the greatest ways to supplement your nutrition today. Unlike regular protein powders, whey isolate contains more protein by weight than anything else and is considered one of the best new forms of superfood that is out there on the market today. The reason for it’s growing success is really the fact that whey protein isolate is a new scientific break through gaining tremendous recognition and notoriety in the natural healthy industry. Now some of you might be asking the question, “What is the difference between an isolate and a concentrate?” For those of you who are lactose intolerant, isolates contain only 1% lactose while concentrates contain 5-6%. Really both are such incredibly small percentages that unless you had an extremely super delicate case of lactose intolerance, your body won’t even be susceptible at all to this. This is why whey itself is incredibly beneficial. Additionally, whey protein isolate has a higher BV, or biological value, because it contains more protein with less lactose. Whey isolate contains 90-98% protein while concentrates contain anywhere from 70-85% protein. But to be completely honest, both isolates as well as concentrates help in such tremendous ways that I recommend this for anybody to take. Not only does it reduce body fat, reduce food cravings, but it increases your immune system, reduces aging signs, lowers cholesterol levels and also helps fight the risk of getting cancer. We have the most advanced Whey Protein Isolate you can find!

How do you feel about Soy Isolate? Generally I try to limit the consumption of animal products.
Hi Kelly – I’m not a big fan of soy, for several reasons.
One, 88% of the soy produced is genetically modified.
Also, soy has been shown to have negative impact on thyroid function.
If you want to use a non-animal protein source, look for organic hemp or pea protein.
Hi is this stuff free of Casein??
Hi Daniel – yes, it is Casein free. This is an extremely high quality whey protein.
Mari Ann, would this drink also be good for my mom who rarely eats due to battling cancer? We need to get her weight back up and most foods don’t agree with her.
Denise, yes, whey protein is great for Seniors, since they often do not get enough quality protein. My parents are 97 and 99 and they both drink their whey everyday – mom mixes in frozen fruit. Plus, other members buy it for their parents, too.
Shelley, The chocolate whey is delicious! It really is chocolaty!!
