@Grace-marie – it was actually created this way on purpose. The Brain Entrainment that I studied says that when your subconscious mind hears a voice speaking, it is better received in the third person. Otherwise, it’s thinking “that’s not my voice”.
Doing it in third person also trains you to RECEIVE affirmations from others, something many of us won’t allow ourselves to do.
These week three affirmations would work better for me if they were said in the first person rather than the second. “I choose good food”, etc. Then I can say them along with you. Now I feel as if you were trying to convince me.
That’s the idea
